Funds allocated will have a significant impact on the individuals serviced through the requesting organization. The Braves Foundation will host a reception for the 2013 grantees at Turner Field and the organizations will participate in an on-field presentation prior to the Braves game.

On Thursday morning, Atlanta Braves and Arrow Exterminators staff members will visit D.H. Stanton Elementary School to read to the students and distribute supplies.

Friday, September 27 at 7:35 p.m. vs. Philadelphia Phillies

  •          Scotty McCreery Free Postgame Concert: Wrapping up a six-city MLB ballpark tour, fans will have the opportunity to hear Scotty's new music first at Turner Field on September 27. Additionally, Scotty will personally donate $5,000 to the Braves' local Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities program during a special on-field presentation. He will also be on-hand to lead the fans in the Chop Rally prior to the game and sing "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the seventh inning stretch. After winning Season Ten of American Idol, Scotty quickly established himself as one of the hottest new stars in country music. His debut album was the best-selling solo album released by a country artist in 2011. Scotty became the youngest man in history to have his first album debut atop the all-genre Billboard Top 200 albums chart.
  •          Billy Wagner Book Signing:  From noon until 1:30 p.m. fans can meet Braves alumni Billy Wagner at the Braves Clubhouse Store at CNN Center. He will be signing his book, A Way Out: Faith, Hope and Love of the Game.
  •          Heart Awareness Day: Piedmont Heart and the Atlanta Braves will shine the spotlight on Heart Awareness Day. A day of celebration will pay tribute to those who have been affected by heart disease and those who are working to raise awareness and funds to support research, education and advocacy for survivors and their families throughout metro Atlanta.   •          Atlanta Braves Future Stars Youth Baseball Clinic: The Braves Minor League Players will be hosting a youth baseball clinic for boys and girls ages 8-12 years old at the Atlanta Braves Baseball Academy located at the Villages at Carver YMCA. The children will receive instruction on hitting, fielding and throwing from various Braves Minor League Future Stars. Fans will have breakfast with former Braves legends including Greg McMichael, Todd Pratt, Jeff Treadway, Darren Holmes, Jim Nash and Marty Perez and partake in a special Q&A with the alumni. The Waffle House Braves Alumni Charity Breakfast ticket includes a game ticket and breakfast feast with waffles, eggs, sausage, bacon, grits and beverages.   •          Hunger Awareness Month Food Drive: The Atlanta Braves, Kroger and the Atlanta Community Food Bank join forces for a final food drive to conclude the season-long support of Strike Out Hunger. Fans are encouraged to bring canned good items or to make monetary donations and will be entered into a raffle to receive Kroger gift cards or signed Braves memorabilia. Kroger employees and Atlanta Community Food Bank volunteers will be on-site collecting canned goods at all Turner Field entrances.
