Braves' Gonzalez ejected in fourth inning

Manager tossed by plate umpire while arguing balls and strikes

ATLANTA -- Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez was ejected by home-plate umpire Larry Vanover during the fourth inning of Saturday night's game against the Nationals at Turner Field.

Gonzalez was tossed as he was in the dugout voicing his displeasure toward a ball Vanover called on Tim Hudson's 2-2 pitch to Ryan Zimmerman. The usually mild-mannered Braves manager stormed on the field and shared a fiery shouting match with Vanover before heading to the clubhouse.

Some of Gonzalez's argument might have been influenced on the strike Vanover called against Jason Heyward to end the third inning.
