St. John's University Head Basketball Coach Chris Mullin to throw out ceremonial first pitch prior to Wednesday, May 27 game at Yankee Stadium

St. John's alumni, fans and supporters to have access to special ticket offer

The New York Yankees today announced that St. John's Head Basketball Coach Chris Mullin will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the Yankees-Royals game on Wednesday, May 27 at 1:05 p.m. at Yankee Stadium.

As part of the celebration, a special ticket offer with savings of up to 50% on select seats for the May 27 game is now available for all St. John's alumni, fans and supporters. Mullin, a native of Brooklyn, is the all-time leading scorer in St. John's history with 2,440 points, having starred at the university from 1981-85. His teams reached four straight NCAA tournaments and a Final Four in his senior season. After a 16-year NBA career with Golden State (1985-97, 2000-01) and Indiana (1997-2000), Mullin was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011. A two-time Olympic gold medalist (1984, '92), he was a member of the famous U.S. "Dream Team," which won gold in Barcelona in 1992.
