Blue Jays celebrate Canada Day presented by Honda

The Toronto Blue Jays will celebrate Canada Day presented by Honda at Rogers Centre, Tuesday July 1st, as they take on the Milwaukee Brewers at 1:07pm. The team will wear a new Blue Jays red jersey along with a new special edition Canada Day cap.

Pregame fans are encouraged to get to the ballpark early as a large crowd is anticipated. The first 20,000 fans will receive a Blue Jays Red Bucket hat presented by Honda when gates open at 11:00 am. For the duration of the game, the Blue Jays will celebrate Canada's birthday with a licensed festival that includes live music, entertainment and great giveaways outside gates 10/11.

During the game, Rogers Centre will go red and one lucky fan will become the proud owner of a new 2014 Honda Civic Coupe Ex, courtesy of Honda Canada. In-game the festivities will continue with Canadian themed giveaways and entertainment.

During the pregame ceremonies, the Blue Jays will proudly honour our Canadian Armed Forces. Chief of Defence Staff General Tom Lawson along with the Blue Jays and their fans will pay tribute to Trenton's 424 Search and Rescue Squadron that were involved in a dramatic crane rescue in Kingston this winter. Sergeant Darryl Casselman will sing the anthem with colours presented by the Navy Flag Party from Her Majesty's Canadian Ship York. Verizon Indy Race Car driver and proud Canadian James Hinchcliffe will throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch and members from the Canadian Jr. National Baseball Team will also be on hand.

Tickets to all Blue Jays home games are available online at bluejays.com or by calling 416-341-1234 or 1-888-OK-GO-JAY. Fans can also purchase tickets at the Blue Jays Box Office at Rogers Centre or at any Ticketmaster retail location.
