Blue Jays claim Andy Wilkins

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have claimed 1B ANDY WILKINS from the Chicago White Sox and have optioned him to Buffalo of the International League (AAA).

Wilkins, 26, appeared in 14 games this spring for the White Sox batting .333 with six RBI. The left-handed hitting native of Tulsa, Oklahoma batted .293 last season for Charlotte of the International League (AAA) with 38 doubles, 30 home runs and 85 runs batted in.
