Blue Jays sign Tolleson

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have agreed to terms with INF STEVE TOLLESON on a 2014 minor league contract with an invitation to attend Major League spring training.

Tolleson, 30, spent last season in Charlotte (AAA), playing in the White Sox system, batting .288 with 28 doubles, eight home runs and 53 RBI. The 5th round pick of the Twins in 2005 has appeared in 54 Major League games for Oakland (2010) and Baltimore (2012), hitting .225 with three home runs and 10 RBI. Tolleson owns a career .372 OBP over nine minor league seasons.
