Blue Jays trade Deck McGuire
The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have traded RHP DECK McGUIRE to the Oakland Athletics for cash considerations.
McGUIRE, 25, was drafted 11th overall in the 2010 First Year Player Draft. The 6'6'' right-handed pitcher started 20 games this season between New Hampshire (AA) and Buffalo (AAA) posting a 6-9 record with a 4.21 ERA. The Richmond, Virginia native appeared in 98 games (95 starts) for Blue Jays affiliates since making his debut in 2011.
