Bradley to hold Steiner Symposium this month

LOS ANGELES -- Bradley University will hold the inaugural Charley Steiner Symposium on Sports Communication from Monday through Thursday.

In addition to the Dodgers' play-by-play announcer, others participating in the event will be television host Larry King; FOX Sports executive vice president Scott Ackerson; and Jane Leavy, who is the author of New York Times bestsellers on Sandy Koufax and Mickey Mantle.

Bradley announced in January that it would name its nationally renowned sports communication program in honor of Steiner, a Bradley alumnus, four-time Emmy Award winner and National Radio Hall of Fame inductee.

The symposium will offer insight into topics and issues in sports and media from established professionals and industry leaders.
