Braves cancel Thursday's Caravan slate

ATLANTA -- As the Atlanta area attempts to recover from Tuesday's winter storm, the Braves have decided to cancel all Braves Country Caravan events scheduled for Thursday.

Thursday's schedule had been set to begin with a visit to the troops at Clay National Guard Center, which is located in Marietta, Ga. From, there the Caravan was set to make a stop at State Mutual Stadium, the home of the Class A Rome Braves, and the Academy Sports + Outdoors located in Hixson, Tenn.

The Braves plan to resume the Caravan as scheduled with a trip to Macon, Ga., on Friday. Alex Wood, J.R. Graham, Gus Schlosser, hitting coach Greg Walker and Triple-A Gwinnett manager Brian Snitker are scheduled to sign autographs from 4-5:30 p.m. ET at the Academy Sports + Outdoors located on Eisenhower Parkway in Macon.
