Brewers finalize Professional Scouting staff

Announce hiring of Andy Pratt to complete the staff

The Milwaukee Brewers today completed their Professional Scouting staff for the 2012 season with the hiring of Andy Pratt as a Professional Scout, it was announced by Zack Minasian, Director - Professional Scouting.

Pratt joins the Brewers Professional Scouting staff after spending the previous five seasons in the Texas Rangers organization as an Amateur Scout.  A 9th round selection by the Texas Rangers in the 1998 First-Year Player Draft, Pratt-a left-handed pitcher-played in the Major Leagues with Atlanta (2002) and Chicago (2004).  Pratt pitched in the Brewers Minor League system in 2005 and 2006.

His father Tom, played in the Angels and Royals organizations and is now a pitching coach in the Cubs organization.  A native of Mesa, Arizona, Pratt resides in Peoria, Arizona.
