Brewers Honor Derek Jeter
The Farewell Captain tour continues.
The Milwaukee Brewers honored Derek Jeter before Sunday's game. The Yankees Captain was presented with a bronze replica of his Louisville Slugger bat, as well as a $10,000 check toward his foundation and a golf trip. On hand to honor Jeter was Dick Groch, the scout who originally recommended that the Yankees draft Jeter.
In addition to his gifts, Jeter received a warm hand for the fans at Miller Park.
Jeter's farewell tour has shown just how much the other teams in the league appreciate his body of work.
