Brewers ink deals with Draft picks Johnson, Davis

MILWAUKEE -- The Brewers signed two more selections from the 2013 First-Year Player Draft in left-handed pitcher Hobbs Johnson (University of North Carolina, 14th round) and outfielder Johnny Davis (West Los Angeles Community College, 22nd round).

Johnson posted a 4-0 record and 2.14 ERA in 14 starts for the Tar Heels in his junior season. The lefty struck out 67 hitters in 71 1/3 innings.

Davis hit .336 with five triples, three home runs, 23 RBIs and 22 stolen bases in 29 games.

The Brewers have signed a total of 29 Draft selections and seven undrafted free agents this year.
