Call stands in late-game challenge by Angels
ANAHEIM -- Angels manager Mike Scioscia challenged second-base umpire Adam Hamari's out call on a Grant Green steal attempt in the eighth inning of Sunday's 6-2 Angels victory at Angel Stadium, but the call was upheld after review.
Green appeared to initially beat the tag, but second baseman Cole Figueroa kept the tag applied as Green's hand momentarily came off the bag.
The Angels are 6-5 in replay challenges. Scioscia had two out calls overturned Thursday in the first game of the four-game series with the Rays.
