Can Mike Trout Enter the 30-30 Club?

I’m sure Mike Trout is probably the worst Skeeball player*. Mike Trout is probably the worst person to play telephone with*. I’m willing to put money and say Mike Trout is probably the worst wingman*. What I do know, however, is that Mike Trout is REALLY GOOD AT BASEBALL.

Trout has been on fire since he’s been called up to the Bigs. He hits and robs home runs. He steals bases. He even tweets like the best of them. The funny part of this whole thing is that he is just destroying a grip of rookie records this season. WHAT CAN’T TROUT DO!? Don’t say drink legally because on August 7, he can DO THAT, TOO!

There are a lot of impressive feats players can achieve while swinging the wood around. One of those is the 30-30 Club. In case you don’t know what it is (I know you probably already do), the 30-30 Club is an exclusive feat where a player has 30 home runs and 30 stolen bases in one season. Quite impressive. What’s even more impressive is that the club only has 35 members. This is where Mike Trout comes in.

No rookie has even gotten into the 30-30 club. The closest rookie to achieve the feat may have been Jose Canseco. I should probably Google that so I look smarter, but I’m lazy. Mike Trout is currently (as of August 4, 2012) sitting at 19 home runs and 31 stolen bases. The Prince Fish already has the stolen bases part down. With a little less than two months of baseball to go, Trout has the opportunity to get into the club as the first ever rookie to get in this exclusive club.

So what do you think? Does Trout have it in him to hit 11 more dingers and become the first rookie to get into the 30-30 Club? Tell me I’m wrong over on Twitter @iBlogBetter or tweet your response to @MLBFanCave. The Prince Fish is on a roll and may land himself in the club. BUT WHAT DO I KNOW? I’M JUST A DOCTOR!

*I was just informed Mike Trout is great at everything. Trout probably should have written this blog so it wouldn’t have any grammatical errors in it.
