Cardinals' stolen base stands after replay

CHICAGO -- Cubs manager Rick Renteria challenged whether second baseman Arismendy Alcantara tagged out the Cardinals' Kolten Wong at second on a stolen-base attempt in the eighth inning Friday.

With St. Louis trailing, 7-6, pinch-hitter Wong singled to lead off the eighth against Neil Ramirez and then stole second. Wong was called safe by second-base umpire Mike Winters. But it appeared he may have pulled his hand off the bag.

After a two-minute review, Wong was ruled safe and the call stood.

Wong was then forced out on a 6-5-4 rundown between second and third.
