Cast your votes for Phillies Wall of Fame inductee
Ceremony to be held on July 31 prior to game against Braves
Voting for the 2015 Phillies Wall of Fame inductee is underway, and it will end at 5 p.m. ET on Feb. 6.
Fans can select their top three choices from a 12-man ballot. A first-place vote is worth five points, second place is three points and third place is one point. The top five fan consensus choices as determined by total points will serve as the official ballot for a special Wall of Fame selection committee that will choose this year's inductee.
In alphabetical order, the 12 legends include outfielder Pat Burrell, pitcher Larry Christenson, manager Jim Fregosi, reliever Gene Garber, outfielder Tony Gonzalez, closer Jim Konstanty, first baseman Fred Luderus, reliever Ron Reed, coach Mike Ryan, third baseman Pinky Whitney, catcher-manager Jim Wilson and pitcher Rick Wise.
Induction will take place on the Toyota Wall of Fame night to be held Friday, July 31, vs. the Braves. Ceremonies will begin at 7 p.m., with the game to follow. The winner will also be honored at the annual Alumni Luncheon for Seniors that will be held at noon that Friday in the Diamond Club.
Charlie Manuel, last year's inductee, will introduce the 36th legend into the Wall of Fame. Other members of the Wall of Fame are scheduled to be part of the ceremonies.
The Wall of Fame event is part of a three-day (July 31 to Aug. 2) Toyota Alumni Weekend, a Phillies tradition. More than 40 alumni are expected to participate during the weekend activities.
Individual game tickets will go on sale on Feb. 19.
The second annual Spring Training Alumni Day in Clearwater, Fla., will take place on Saturday, March 21, at Bright House Field. Game time is 1 p.m. against Toronto.
