Celebrating a Fly Out

While I can honestly admit I have never done it, I can only assume that there is no better feeling than hitting that no-doubter home run and trotting around the bases. But with that same sentiment, one can only presume that the opposite remains true. As can be seen in the video, the batter makes perfect contact and believes he has just launched that ball out of the park. So, in true fashion, he flips his bat, points to right field and starts chugging to first base. The problem? It was a warning track fly out. It wasn’t a home run. His opponents can’t help but chuckle at him from the dugout. Even the opposing pitcher shares a big smile from the mound. But the look on the batter’s face says it all. No, he’s not disappointed. He’s completely dumbfounded and stunned.
