Renteria challenges final play of game, call is confirmed

MILWAUKEE -- Cubs manager Rick Renteria asked for a review of the last play of Saturday night's game against the Brewers.

Trailing 5-3 with two outs in the ninth against Brewers closer Francisco Rodriguez, Starlin Castro hit a grounder to shortstop Jeff Bianchi, who threw to first. It was a close play, and Castro signaled safe, but first-base umpire Lance Barksdale called him out.

Renteria challenged the call, and the Brewers players waited on the field while the play was reviewed. After a 44-second review, the call was confirmed, and the game was over.
