Los Angeles Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw can do it all! In addition to being a dominant force on the mound, he's done some incredible work outside of baseball as well. He was honored for those off-field efforts on Thursday, when he was named the winner of the 2013 Branch Rickey Award.
Kershaw and his wife are co-founders of Kershaw's Challenge, which brings awareness to HIV and AIDS. Since 2011, he has donated $500 to his foundation for each strikeout. When you're a perennial league leader in the category, that's pretty significant!
Congratulations, Clayton!
