Cubs Prospect Matt Szczur Saves Stranger's Life

Chicago Cubs prospect Matt Szczur put his athletic career on the backburner in order to save a complete stranger’s life.

Szczur was entering his final collegiate baseball season when a call came for him to donate bone marrow to an anonymous person in need. Without hesitation, he obliged, even though he would need to stop playing baseball indefinitely.

As karma would have it, he homered in his first at-bat upon returning to the field.

This is a guy we can all cheer for.
