D-backs reinstate Burgos, option Reed

The D-backs have reinstated pitcher Enrique Burgos from the 15-day disabled list and optioned reliever Addison Reed to Triple-A Reno.

Burgos, who has been working his way back from right shoulder tendinitis, appeared in three rehab games with Double-A Mobile and struck out six hitters in 2 2/3 scoreless innings of relief.

In 13 games out of the Arizona bullpen this season, Burgos had 25 strikeouts and led Major League relievers with a 16.46 strikeouts-per-nine-innings ratio.

Reed is 2-2 with three saves and a 5.92 ERA in 25 relief appearances with the D-backs this year.
