Darin Mastroianni Breaks Belt During Game

Having watched more than 2,000 baseball games so far this season, I’ve seen everything from broken records to broken no-hitter attempts. But belts? That’s definitely a first!

In the bottom of the fourth inning of tonight's game against the Astros, Twins outfielder Darin Mastroianni broke his belt while diving to rob Jose Altuve of extra bases. Fortunately for his sake, the Minnesota bullpen was right behind him and a generous reliever traded belts with him through the fence!

Phew! That could have been awkward.
