Dodgers claim Bonilla, move him to DL

LOS ANGELES -- The Dodgers' fascination with Tommy John surgery patients continued on Wednesday as they claimed right-handed pitcher Lisalverto Bonilla from Texas and placed him on the 60-day disabled list.

Bonilla had elbow reconstruction in April and missed the entire 2015 season.

Bonilla is 25 and pitched in five games for the Rangers in 2014. He was originally signed by the Phillies in 2009 and has primarily been a reliever, with 489 strikeouts in 429 Minor League innings.
