Game vs. champs part of Dodgers' spring slate

LA set to play KC on St. Patrick's Day; schedule also includes Freeway Series

BOCA RATON, Fla. -- The Dodgers announced their 2016 Spring Training schedule, which includes a St. Patrick's Day meeting with the World Series champion Kansas City Royals at Camelback Ranch-Glendale and a three-game Freeway Series against the Angels.

The Dodgers will play 17 of 30 spring games at the Camelback Ranch complex they share with the White Sox and at least one home game in each of the four Cactus League weekends.

They will play at home the entire final weekend of March, with a Friday night game against the Giants, a Saturday night game against the White Sox and a Sunday day game against the Reds.

The Freeway Series will have games at Dodger Stadium the nights of March 31 and April 1, then a game in Anaheim on April 2 at a time to be determined.

The Dodgers will play split-squad games on March 12, 20 and 26.
