Dodgers Select the Contract of David Huff, Option Matt West

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today selected the contract of left-handed pitcher David Huff from Triple-A Oklahoma City and optioned right-hander Matt West to Triple-A. To make room on the 40-man roster, the Dodgers transferred outfielder Carl Crawford to the 60-day disabled list.

Huff (#54) will be serving his second stint with the Dodgers this year after making a spot start on April 14 against the Mariners and allowing four runs in 4.0 innings in a no-decision. He last pitched on Friday, allowing one run on one hit and striking out three in 3.0 innings, and has gone 2-0 with a 2.35 ERA in six games (two starts) with Oklahoma City. Huff has gone 25-28 with a 5.06 ERA in 116 career Major League games (55 starts) with the Indians (2009-13), Yankees (2013-14), Giants (2014) and Dodgers (2015).

West, 26, was recalled for yesterday's game at St. Louis, but did not pitch. He was acquired by the Dodgers from Toronto on May 4 and has combined to go 1-1 with one save and a 1 .46 ERA in 13 games with the Blue Jays' Double-A New Hampshire, and the Dodgers' Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City this year.

Crawford was originally placed on the 15-day disabled list with a right oblique strain on April 28. He batted .245 (12-for-49) with three doubles, a triple, a home run and three RBI in 15 games this season.
