Double-A rehab start up next for Wilson

ANAHEIM -- C.J. Wilson, nursing a sprained right ankle, will make a rehab start with Double-A Arkansas on Monday.

The 33-year-old Angels left-hander said he threw around 125 pitches in an up-and-down bullpen session (like a simulated game) on Wednesday and around 40 in a bullpen session Friday.

Manager Mike Scioscia did not say if Wilson would need a second rehab start or if he would rejoin the Angels after his outing in Arkansas.

Wilson, who has a 10.26 ERA in his last four starts, is expected to be back by early August.
