Extra bases

• Erasmo Ramirez picked up the win for Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday in his third rehab start as he returns from a strained right elbow. Ramirez allowed just one unearned run and five hits with no walks and two strikeouts in a 5-1 victory over Oklahoma City.

Ramirez is 3-0 with a 5.11 ERA in his three rehab outings since being placed on the 15-day disabled list on July 1. Wedge said Ramirez still needs more time on his rehab before being recalled.

• Reliever Charlie Furbush, on a Minor League rehab stint with a strained left biceps, will make his second appearance with Tacoma on Monday, Wedge said. Furbush threw an inning on Friday.

• Justin Smoak went 1-for-3 on Saturday for Tacoma, extending his hitting streak to seven games. The first baseman is hitting .256 since being sent down to Triple-A, including a .318 mark (7-for-22) over the past seven games.

• Going into Sunday's game, Seattle had played 72 of its first 109 games against teams with winning records. The Rockies were second in the Majors in that category with 68, while the Angels were the next-closest AL team with 66.
