GABP Landscaping Enhancements

Great American Ball Park has received new landscaping enhancements in preparation to host the 86th MLB All-Star Game on July 14. 

The centerpiece of the improvements is a 9 feet tall and 110 feet long "living wall" on the ballpark gates by the Kroger Fan Zone featuring nearly 10,000 flowers in over 900 planters mounted on the gates. 

The flowers, grown locally at the Greenfield Plant Farm, spell out "All-Star Summer" and include an official MLB All-Star Game logo, pill box hat and mustache.

The living wall is a permanent addition to the ballpark and will feature different designs following the 2015 season. 

The landscaping was installed by Reds partner Evans Landscaping and also include:
• New trees and flowers around the main gates on Crosley Terrace 
• 20 large pots decorating entry gates around the ballpark
• Planter boxes in the Kroger Fan Zone and in front of the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum on Joe Nuxhall Way

Local companies Wow Windowboxes, Complete Lawn Specialists and Mike's Welding provided additional assistance on the ballpark projects. 

The Cincinnati Reds, Cincinnati Parks and the Community Organizing Committee are partnering on additional enhancements outside the ballpark including: 
• The Cincinnati Parks will be planting new trees and installing flower pots along Second Street on the north side of GABP
• The Community Organizing Committee is generously adding an All-Star Game logo to the building adjacent to Carol Ann's Carousel and the Sue & Joe Pichler Family Fountains
• With permission from the Cincinnati Parks, All-Star Game logos will be painted on the lawns at Yeatman's Cove, Smale Riverfront Park and Washington Park
