Giants and Reds Doubleheader to be played tomorrow

The July 4 game between the Giants and Reds at Great American Ball Park, which was postponed due to rain, has been rescheduled for tomorrow, July 23 at 7:15 p.m. PT at the earliest or approximately 30 minutes following the regularly scheduled game that will begin at 4:05 p.m. PT.

Due to Official Baseball Rules - 4.13 (f) "When a rescheduled game is part of a doubleheader the rescheduled game shall be the second game, and the first game shall be the regularly scheduled game for that date."

Therefore, the Reds will bat last in the second game and the Giants will bat first. For statistical purposes the Giants are the "home team" for both games (at season's end the Giants should have 82 home games played and the Reds will have 80 home games).
