The Brawley, California native was selected by the Giants in the 28th round in the 2005 First-Year Player Draft. His 5.92 career strikeout per walk ratio is the third-highest among all Major League pitchers since his debut in 2008. From 2010-14 he ranks fourth among all Major League relief pitchers in WHIP (0.92) and baserunners per 9.0 innings (8.66).
