Giants unveil 37-game Spring Training slate

Cactus League play kicks off Feb. 23 against Angels in Scottsdale, Ariz.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Variety highlights the Giants' 2013 exhibition schedule announced Monday, as the World Series champions will face each of their Cactus League brethren at least once at home.

San Francisco's 37-game preseason slate features 34 Cactus League games in Arizona and three in the Bay Area against the Oakland A's.

The Giants will begin their exhibition schedule Feb. 23 against a Los Angeles Angels split squad at Scottsdale Stadium. That marks the first of five consecutive Saturdays when San Francisco will play home games.

Other key home dates include games against the Cincinnati Reds, the Giants' National League Division Series opponent, on March 16, and the A's, on March 23.

The first NL West rival to visit Scottsdale Stadium will be the Arizona Diamondbacks on March 3. They're followed by the Los Angeles Dodgers (March 8), San Diego Padres (March 12, March 26) and Colorado Rockies (March 17).

The Giants are scheduled to finish their Cactus League campaign March 27 against Arizona. They'll face the A's from March 28-29 at AT&T Park and March 30 at Oakland before opening the regular season April 1 at Los Angeles.

Season-ticket packages for games at Scottsdale Stadium will be available Dec. 17 by visiting sfgiants.com. Single-game tickets will go on sale Jan. 10 at multiple outlets, including sfgiants.com.
