Indians sign RHP Kyle Davies to Minor League contract

The Indians today signed free agent RHP KYLE DAVIES to a Minor League contract. Davies will report to early Minor League camp in Goodyear, AZ in the coming days.

Davies, 30, split the 2013 season in the Minnesota Twins organization, going a combined 4-3 with a 3.41 ERA in 12 starts (58.0IP, 60H, 22ER, 1BB, 47K), missing the first two months of the season rehabbing from 2012 right shoulder surgery. Davies owns a career Major League record of 43-65 with a 5.59 ERA in 151 games/144 starts (768.0IP, 876H, 477ER, 545K) over seven Major League seasons with Atlanta (2005-07) and Kansas City (2007-11). The Stockbridge, GA native began his professional career in 2001 after being selected out of high School in the 4th round of the First-Year Player Draft.
