Injured calf keeps Rollins out of lineup

WASHINGTON -- Jimmy Rollins wasn't in Monday's lineup against the Nationals because of an injury to his right calf, and it's unclear if he will play again this season.

"It's hard enough to play any day, to be honest," Rollins said. "Regardless, I texted [Scott Sheridan, head athletic trainer] last night at 12:30. I knew I had to do it, just wanted to let him know I was coming in to get it looked at. And we go from there, really.

"Even if we were playoff-bound, it was something where I'd have to send him a text, probably with more urgency. So if I get a day off here, or take two and see what's it's like on the third day, then let's do that. ... It's precautionary at the moment."
