Morris to join Twins' radio broadcast team

Former Twins pitcher and five-time All-Star Jack Morris will join Fox Sports North and K-TWIN Radio's broadcast teams for the upcoming season.

Morris will be a part of Fox Sports North's team throughout the season as a pre and postgame analyst and will serve as a game analyst with Dick Bremer when Bert Blyleven is not scheduled. He also will co-host "The Ron Gardenhire Show" on Sundays and serve as a regular on-air contributor K-TWIN, including co-hosting "This is Twins Territory" from 10-11 a.m. on Sundays.

Morris previously spent seven seasons as a radio broadcaster with the Twins from 2005-2011 while also occasionally appearing on Tigers broadcasts. He spent last season as a color analyst on Blue Jays radio broadcasts.

The 58-year-old Morris -- most famous among Twins fans for his Game 7 heroics in the 1991 World Series -- is a 1973 graduate of St. Paul's Highland Park High School and resides in Grant, Minn., with his wife, Jennifer and son, Miles. He also has two grown children, Austin and Erik.

Morris was 254-186 with a 3.90 ERA over an 18-year career spent with the Tigers, Twins, Blue Jays and Indians. He is a four-time World Series champion.
