Cain does it again with leaping catch at wall
CHICAGO -- It has become almost redundant to mention great catch and Royals center fielder Lorenzo Cain in the same sentence.
But Cain was back at it in Tuesday night's 4-2 loss to the White Sox at U.S. Cellular with a terrific catch up against the center-field wall in the second inning.
White Sox outfielder Trayce Thompson sent a laser shot toward the 400-foot sign in center and Cain raced back, leaped and caught the ball as he crashed into the fence. Cain's glove squeezed the ball on the yellow line -- it probably would have bounced off for extra bases.
"Great play," Royals manager Ned Yost said. "Those plays ... like I told Lorenzo, 'That was a good catch, but I've seen better.'"
Cain replied, "You're right, skip. I've done better."

Moments later, third baseman Mike Moustakas made a diving stop on Avisail Garcia's hot grounder and threw him out.
