Madison Bumgarner's Dad Sent Him an Amazing Text During Game 7

Get the tissues.

Madison Bumgarner had an absolutely monstrous Postseason and a World Series for the record books. His dad, Kevin, watched his son mow down batters inning after inning from a recliner in his living room in Hudson, North Carolina. The New York Times' Michael Powell visited Kevin, where he found out that Madison's dad had sent the most incredible text message to his son before the ninth inning of Game 7:

"OMG. You're so much more than awesome. To see you work on the mound reminds me of watching you in high school. You are willing yourself to perfection and dragging the team along with you. I couldn't be more proud of your baseball accomplishments."

Kevin also has his eye on the truck Madison got for winning the World Series MVP Award. We recommend reading the whole article. Bum's dad sounds like the coolest dude ever.
