Manny Machado and Bryce Harper Interview

There is so much discussion surrounding the young phenoms in the game. So when Bryce Harper and Manny Machado opened a series against one another, MASN leapt at the chance to speak to them together. The two spoke about being roommates and playing together, winning gold with Team USA and what an honor that was. Harper spoke about how great an opportunity it was to play on that team and with elite prospects destined for the Majors. Manny also added that they learned from each other and became better players because of it.

Regarding Harper, Manny said, "I don't think there is anyone that plays the game harder than him. It's something that as a player, you definitely have to learn and watch."

Likewise, Harper said, "[Machado] is one of the best short stops I have ever seen. This kid is incredible and he's a lot of fun to watch."

The mutual respect these two phenoms display is great to see, and I hope they continue to play the game the same way they regard each other.

They seem to be on the right track as Harper says, "We just gotta go out there every day and smile and learn and laugh."
