Metallica, Chumlee among celeb-filled BP

SAN FRANCISCO -- The list of dignitaries, luminaries and would-be journalists who filled the Giants' dugout before Tuesday night's game was extensive.

Members of the rock band Metallica started things by taking early batting practice. It's the ninth time the band has done so this season in preparation for an appearance in Cleveland later this year.

Chumlee (a.k.a Austin Russell) from the reality show "Pawn Stars" was on the field as part of filming for an upcoming antique show in which he is the appraiser.

Chumlee, wearing a Giants jersey with No. 82 (he was born in 1982), spoke at length with outfielder Hunter Pence, who presented him with a signed game-used bat.

Former Giants CEO Peter Magowan and all-time home run king Barry Bonds were also visitors.
