Mets Announce 2014 Schedule

Opening Day Is Monday, March 31 vs. Washington at Citi Field

The New York Mets today announced the club will begin the 2014 regular season at Citi Field vs. the National League East rival Washington Nationals Monday, March 31.

Highlights of the 2014 schedule include:

  • March 31 thru April 6 - Opening homestand versus the Nationals and Cincinnati Reds
  • May 12 thru 15 - The Mets square off against their crosstown rival the New York Yankees for four games; two in the Bronx, May 12 and May 13, and two at Citi Field, May 14 and May 15
  • Holiday matchups include:
    • Mother's Day, May 11 vs. Philadelphia
    • Memorial Day, May 26 vs. Pittsburgh
    • Father's Day, June 15 vs. San Diego
    • Independence Day, July 4 vs. Texas Rangers
  • Interleague appearances at Citi Field by the Oakland A's, Houston Astros, Texas Rangers and New York Yankees

In addition there will be a total of 38 N.L. East home games in 2014 against the Atlanta Braves, Nationals, Philadelphia Phillies and Miami Marlins.

Game times and promotions for the 2014 campaign will be announced at a later date. The 2014 schedule is subject to change, including all Saturday and Sunday game times, which are subject to Major League Baseball's national broadcast agreements with FOX and ESPN.
