Navegantes' Lisson hits for the cycle

Mario Lisson hit for the cycle and drove in four runs as the Navegantes climbed into a second-place tie in the round-robin playoffs. The Royals farmhand, who reached Triple-A in 2009, had an RBI triple and scored in the second inning, singled in another run in the third, doubled and scored again in the sixth and slugged a two-run homer in the seventh. Angels infielder Alberto Callaspo went 3-for-4 and scored twice for Magallanes, while former Cardinals Minor Leaguer Jose Martinez hit a three-run homer for Aragua. Box score

Giants newcomer Gregor Blanco had three hits, including a solo homer, and scored twice to lead the Tiburones past the last-place Aguilas. Alex Cabrera went 3-for-5 with four RBIs and a pair of runs scored, while Mariners farmhand Luis Antonio Jimenez launched a three-run homer for La Guaira.
