Nick Swisher Takes the Ice Bucket Challenge

The "Ice Bucket Challenge" is sweeping the nation. If you've been on Facebook lately, you've surely noticed multiple videos of your friends dumping ice over their heads for charity. The current wave of "Ice Bucket Challenge" videos are tied to raising awareness for ALS in honor of former Boston College baseball star Pete Frates. With the support of the Boston College community, the challenge has reached viral status.
Earlier tonight, Cleveland Indians star Nick Swisher accepted the challenge from his wife, actress Joanna Garcia.
Swisher, rocking a classic BROHIO shirt, then challenged teammate Mike Aviles and several celebrities. It's great to see Swish supporting a noble cause, and we hope more MLB players get in on the action.
Tony Sanchez, a former BC star playing in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization, accepted the challenge last week.
