Oakley to be official eyewear of the Texas Rangers

Rangers and Oakley enter into multi-year partnership

The Texas Rangers today announced that the club and Oakley have entered into a multi-year partnership beginning with the 2013 season.

One of the world's leading sports brands, Oakley will be the Official Eyewear for the Rangers. The partnership will also include signage at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.

World-class athletes depend on Oakley to compete at their highest level possible. Texas Rangers who wear Oakley sunglasses or prescription eyewear include Adrian Beltre, Lance Berkman, Nelson Cruz, Craig Gentry, Ian Kinsler, and David Murphy.

"We are excited to welcome Oakley to the Rangers family of partners and look forward to showcasing their eyewear and apparel to our fans," commented Rangers Vice President, Partnerships & Client Services Jim Cochrane.

"It's a smart partnership because Oakley is passionate about baseball and committed to bringing superior eyewear technology and innovation to the game," said Oakley Chief Executive Officer Colin Baden.

Oakley was founded on the principle that everything can and will be made better. Oakley eyewear is famous for unsurpassed optical superiority including high definition optics, high mass and high velocity impact protection and lightweight and flexible frame construction - which all make a difference in baseball.

As a special thank you for Rangers fans, more than 20 styles of Oakley frames can be customized with the official Texas Rangers team colors, icons and the official MLB logo etched on the lens, including the popular Flak Jacket XLJ (pictured below). Official Oakley Texas Rangers eyewear can be purchased at any of the four Metroplex Oakley Stores, which are located at NorthPark Center, the Parks at Arlington, Southlake Town Center and Stonebriar Mall.
