Orioles name Hudak director of public relations

The Orioles named Kristen Hudak director of public relations on Monday, and she will begin her duties with the club Dec. 29. In her new role, she will oversee the public relations department, including corporate communications, media relations, online communications, photography and team publications.

Hudak has spent more than three years at ESPN, most recently as a senior publicist working on the network's Major League Baseball coverage, including its Sunday Night Baseball broadcasts, Baseball Tonight studio show and the Home Run Derby.

A graduate of Mercyhurst University with a master's degree in politics from the Catholic University of America, Hudak previously worked with the WebStrong Group, an Alexandria, Va., public relations firm. She also spent time in multiple roles at the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network (MASN), including three seasons as the Nationals blogger for MASNsports.com.
