Padres agree to terms with 23 players selected in 2012 First-Year Player Draft
SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres today announced they have agreed to terms with 23 players selected in the 2012 First-Year Player Draft.
This year, the Padres selected a total of 44 players. The club’s selections consist of 22 pitchers (14 right-handed and eight left-handed), three catchers, 10 infielders and nine outfielders. San Diego drafted a total of 27 college players and 17 high school players.
