Padres have legion of fresh faces for 2015 Spring Training

Front office shook up nearly half of roster since end of previous offseason

We are going to start today with a question. How many Padres on the current 40-man roster were on the 40-man roster that went to Spring Training in 2014?

We'll pause here to give you a chance to formulate a guess. Ready?

The answer is 19.

The Padres -- most notably general manager A.J. Preller -- have replaced 22 players from the 40-man roster that reported to Peoria, Ariz., last February. Fourteen of those changes have been made since the end of the 2014 season.

Here is San Diego's 40-man roster:
