Phils in talks with Orioles about Revere

PHILADELPHIA -- The Phillies could make one more move before Friday's 4 p.m. ET non-waiver Trade Deadline.

Sources confirmed a FOXSports.com report that the Phillies and Orioles are discussing a deal for outfielder Ben Revere. Those sources said the O's remain interested in Revere, even after they acquired Brewers outfielder Gerardo Parra for righty Zach Davies.

CSNPhilly.com also reported talks with the Blue Jays about Revere have heated up.

The Phils have been looking to trade Revere for some time, after coming close to a trade with the Angels a few weeks ago.

Revere, 27, is hitting .298 (109-for-366) with 13 doubles, six triples, one home run, 26 RBIs, 24 stolen bases and a .709 OPS over 96 games. He cannot become a free agent until after the 2017 season, so he has value as a controllable player for the next couple of years.

While Revere has hit .303 with a .694 OPS since joining the Phillies in a December 2012 trade with the Twins, he does not figure into the organization's long-range plans.
