Phillies have rich history of home run leaders

Eight Phillies have led the National League in home runs since the franchise was established in 1883. Three were right-handed hitters: Ed Delahanty, Gavvy Cravath and Mike Schimdt.
Phillies single-season record holders included Sam Thompson (20), Cravath (24), Cy Williams (30), Chuck Klein (43), Schmidt (48) and Ryan Howard (58).

As a player-manager in 1920, Cravath hit a three-run homer as a pinch-hitter for a 3-0 win over the Giants. It was the last home run of his career, giving him 119, the most in baseball history. That distinction lasted only one season, as Babe Ruth finished 1921 with 120.
