Pitcher: RHS Brody Colvin, Clearwater. Was 1-0 for 1 start, his most impressive outing of the season, 7 scoreless innings, 8 hits, 0 walks, 9 strikeouts, which tied his career high. Over last 2 starts, 2 runs, 13 innings, 16 strikeouts. He began the season in the rotation, moved to the bullpen for 5 appearances (May 26-June 9) and returned to the rotation. For the season, 4-4, 4.46 ERA. He also was the Pitcher of the Week for April 16-22. The 21-year-old was selected in the 7th round in 2009 out of St. Thomas More High School (LA) and signed by Mike Stauffer.

Player: 1B Chris Duffy, Lakewood. Hit .481 in 7 games, leading the organization with 7 runs and 13 hits, that included 1 double and 3 homers. He drove in 11. Ended the week on a 17-game hitting streak (. 477), boosting average from .321 to .405. Began season at Lakewood (.350, 7 games), went to Clearwater (.205, 20 games) and returned to BlueClaws on May 29. Has reached base in all 27 games since returning to Lakewood.
