Phillies Opening Day: By the numbers

It's time for the 132nd season opener for the Phillies.

Page 205 of the media guide lists the season openers year-by-year. From 1883 through 1914, there is no listing of the winning and losing pitchers. Box scores from those years are not available.

The Phillies have won 59 openers, lost 70 and been involved in two ties (1923 and '24).

As can be expected, some Phillies icons have put up impressive numbers over the years. However, there are also some numbers put up by lesser-known players.
