Pirates and 84 Lumber Company announce multi-year partnership

The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced a multi-year partnership with Pennsylvania-based 84 Lumber Company, the nation's leading privately held building materials and services supplier. This partnership marks the first relationship between the team and the lumber company since 2007.

As part of the agreement, 84 Lumber will be the title sponsor of the Saturday, July 19, postgame fireworks. On that night, following the Pirates 7:05 p.m. game with the Colorado Rockies, fans are encouraged to stay in their seats and enjoy an amazing fireworks display by Zambelli Fireworks International and presented by 84 Lumber.

The agreement also provides 84 Lumber with signage displayed throughout PNC Park during the 2014 season, including the top of the visiting bullpen roof, located in left center field. In addition, 84 Lumber receives advertisement spots on Pirates telecasts as well as radio broadcasts on the Pirates' 38-station radio network.

"84 Lumber is pleased to reestablish a relationship with the Pittsburgh Pirates and look forward to an exciting and successful season with the team and their fans," said Jeff Nobers, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations for 84 Lumber.

Founded in 1956, 84 Lumber Company is the nation's leading privately held building materials and services supplier to professional contractors and build-it-yourselfers. The company owns and operates more than 250 stores, component plants, door shops, installation centers and engineered wood product shops in 30 states.
